Running 5:35:00 [3] 25.0 mi (13:24 / mi) +6200ft 10:51 / mi
shoes: Pearl Izumi N2 Trail, #3

25 trail miles through Golden Gate Canyon.

Not my best running. I can't really figure out what's going on... for one, my foot is still infected. That's only part of it.

My 'new' (now 150 miles rich) Pearl Izumi N2s aren't feeling great on my heels - either of them. I can't figure out why, as these are the shoes I have LOVED for the last two seasons. Maybe they were manufactured oddly?

Maybe it is me?

I just haven't felt myself since the longer distances started. Maybe it is too much too fast?

Today's run indeed felt sluggish, but time wise, it really wasn't slow. SO maybe it is all in my head, I have no idea. It didn't help that I ran out of water and went some distance before I found the tiniest stream to pull from.

Ate: 3/4 of a broiled potato, 2 fruit squeezies, 1 rice ball, 1 packet of PB crackers, and 1/2 an Rx bar. Not enough food.

I ran the Dirty30 50km course except I lopped off the extra loop down near Ralston Roost (that would have made the run a full 50km, and I was trying to keep it nearer to 25).

Low 70s out there today.

Recovered fairly well once I got home.
