a fast run to the top of deer trail and back. on the pavement. sun was warm... a little too warm for september. hamstring felt a bit better than yesterday.

Today was the first Saturday in quite awhile that I haven't spent the entirety of it pounding miles on the trail - in fact, a mere 18 - I should have felt way better than I did.

Truth told it was my worst run of the season. I hurt all over (hamstring, ankle, back), and I was a complete slug on the trail. I just wanted the whole thing over with shortly after I began.

Parked in town of Eldora, up King Lake, across the Divide on the High Lonesome, then down via Devil's Thumb Pass / trail.

Hot today.

This trail is super rocky throughout. Not the easiest on one's feet if you are already having a bad run.

Ate 1pb, 1 pack crackers, some salt pills. Drank 2.5L

Win some, lose some.

AWESOME morning run with new trail buddy, andy rose. we did the bitterbush/nelson/nighthawk loop at hall ranch. saw only 3 people. (630 am start). cool, cloudy skies....
