up to the summit of nugget hill and back, via the cloudline. i ran the entire thing, even the steepest of steep sections. today is very cold on multiple levels.

pretty horrible, horrible day. well, there were some highlights. but all in all, the worst in > 2 yrs. tried to make the most of it, narrow windows...

didn't want to be alone so i stayed up at andrew's last night. we woke up very early and went for a long walk through balarat. daydreamed of putting the landing strip somewhere on those 1000 beautiful acres. that part and the next few hours = pretty good. went for a run, felled a few trees (they were blocking our hot tub view of Longs...), limbed them up, hauled them around with the cat, got sawdust in our eyes, laughed a little...

i've been up at 4:15-4:30 am every morning this week. in part related to coming home from eastern time zone. no matter, i'm quite loving it. my days feel so long and wonderful. i went for a 5am run this morning. felt super strong and fast. went hard up nugget hill, back down, then up to the base of cloudline and home. i felt like i could have, and wanted to, run all day. it was cold, but the right amount of cloud to star ratio made those early hours so peaceful.

a beautiful, mostly pre-dawn run up LHC, then up Nugget Hill, and home. it was so dark and starry and beautiful for the first hour. sun started to rise as i came crashing down nugget, and the sunrise was most magnificent.
