cloudline to gold lake, then descent to james creek, back up, had a 45 min face to face / standoff with a black bear, which sent me skirting up the side of some unnamed mtn, off trail, for a very long time. i somehow tiptoed my way out of that, then got pummeled with hail and SUPER heavy, cold rain all the way down (for a prior week that was in the 100s, today's 58 degrees felt strange....). right hamstring a wreck. strange day.
