well that was eventful. took pancake on an off lease / dirt / trail (sorta) run. all was fine until she decided to dive into a frozen sand creek. she got stuck in the middle of the creek, when she finally broke thru the ice, and couldn't get out. it was clear that she'd have been frozen solid within 4 minutes. I stripped shirts etc off, and into the frozen creek I went, breaking up ice with my shins, etc.

dog rescue, check. frozen feet and bloody shins, check.
