Wednesday Aug 30

Note
slept:10.5 (sick) (rest day)
Was going to be a rest day after 4 days racing but I feel a bit off, breathing feels a little tight, its just a bit of a cough. It'll be gone after today. I hope.

Tuesday Aug 29

Fell Race race 49:21 [4]6.0 mi (8:14 / mi) +305m 4:25 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Inov8 Mudroc280
Eyam fell race, got directed the wrong at the start but only a bit. 30/105...but I felt quite good, once at the top of the first climb i think I lost about 2 places overall. Absolutely caned it down the hill at the end and sprint finished someone.

Slept quite badly last night, was coughing a lot. Hardly coughed during the day though, odd.

Monday Aug 28

Orienteering race (Score) 59:57 [5]*** 6.7 km (8:57 / km) +80m 8:27 / km
spiked:12/16c shoes: Olway Tigers
White Rose Day 3 Team Event. 2nd Team. Ran really quite well, though I didn't punch one. Whoops. Still ran really fast, orienteered well, judged well, almost died at the end. Would have won if it weren't for me missing one. Also if Dad was 20 seconds quicker. The time limit was 60 mins, so my 59.57 was judged to perfection!

Sunday Aug 27

Orienteering race 1:00:25 [5]*** 6.3 km (9:35 / km) +180m 8:23 / km
spiked:13/17c shoes: Olway Tigers
Day 2 of White Rose. 13/96. Much much much better. Actually ran really well, made a few small errors but I am feeling a lot fitter. The fact I wasn't wearing my new shoes may have helped slightly but my feet still wrecked anyway. AWFUL blister too.

Saturday Aug 26

Orienteering race 1:06:34 [3]*** 6.5 km (10:14 / km) +205m 8:51 / km
spiked:13/16c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330 "o"
Grrr...

Day 1 of White Rose, 19/88. Bloody awful, I just didn't run properly! The new shoes were quite painful but that's no excuse, they just need bedding in. I orienteered well, a few small mistakes and I got the route choice right (I think).
