Running race (Adventure Race ( 5 hrs )) 4:15:00 [4]

Nine Toes winter Race ( 5 hrs ) with Gilles C, Caroline R and Daniel H,,

Aprox 8 inch of snow on the ground so we didnt use snowshoe, Team was strong for the first 2 hrs, after that Daniel could not follow the rest of us so we had to slow down. I change my plan for more Bushwacking so Daniel could follow us, Orientation went very good didnt loose much time on that side. I decide to forget 4 CP because Daniel was starting to cramp so i play safe finishing in 4 hrs 15 min with 16 CP out of 20. Daniel admit he need more running he is doing some skiing but not enought running.. First Place for our first race of 2012...NICE...

Went running the snowshoe trail i did yesterday but this time with no snowshoe....Bad idea was sinking aprox 6 inch and lots of time sinking Knee deep...Like 09Man told me at TA2 of Moose Knuckle last fall after the trail run...its not much of a trail for running but a good punishment. So today was a great punishment.

Big snowshoe VG 10 x36 and was sinking Aprox 12 inch.

Was fast walking going in @ 11.40 min / km ...turn around and run that same 6km @ 9.30 min / km but the trail was broak....probly spend twice the energy to gain 2.10 miin /km....not sure i can hold that 5 hrs...interesting !!! Legs fell very strong after this recovery week. Sure 2.10 dont look much but its 13 min on 6 km...
