Went to hide some CP for the rest of team practice Orientation.....Gilles did good to find CP, But Caroline lost her map halfway throught the hike but she was doing ok.

Pacing my son Guillaume at the Chaleur 5 and 10 K at Beresford.
We pass the first km under 4 min but after that he could not follow that pace...Still a very good time for his first 5k he win the first place of the school categorie. Proud of him.

Very slow Bushwacking with a heavy pack, looking for Falls on a brook at TV Tower. Found a couple of 3 and 4 feet high falls but nothing to spectacular.

Wanted to do a nice road bike ride after the run but with the hard rain and 6 degree outside i decide to put the bike on the trainer,,Hard session 10 min easy spinn, 40 min high gear low rpm ( pushing hard ) 10 min easy..... Could still feel WYD in my legs.

Mountain Bike race 4:00:00 [3]

-Very nice race this weekend Organised by NSAR.
-Aprox 4 km after the start, Gilles broke the droop off holding the derailleur...we were F*^K but 09Man arrived a couple of minute after and offer his "Chain wrinch" ( Thank you again Andrew ) so we cut the chain and went single gear,, it was slow but better than running beside the bike. we had to stop probly 10 time to adjust the chain on a smaller gear because of the full suspension if Gilles hit a big hole the chain would change gear and it was to tight to pedal so we had to stop take the wheel off change gear and start back. Any small hill Gilles had to run beside his bike.
-Did some orientation error on the bike leg ??? First time in a race i can say for like 30 minute i didnt know where we were....we stop like 3 time in 10 minute to work on Gilles bike and when we left the third time i think we went the wrong way....Anyway when i figure out where we were i was going the wrong way and there was 4 team following us ;-) did a durty turn and lost them... after that went good.

Canoe went ok, we push hard but the 2 Old town we had was very slow. lost a lot of time on the team in front.

Trekking race 2:00:00 [3]

-The trekking was our best leg.
- After the TA we decide to change our plan( I taught Gilles legs would be burnt after all that pushing on the single gear ) and not going to CP6, We start straight at CP 8 but to my surprise Gilles had no problem to follow us and even Daniel with his bad knee was running fast...Lost 15 minute at CP9 ??? the ribbon was right there at the end of the trail but we walk by and didnt saw them...look everywhere along the brook didnt found so i went back to the end of the trail for location and the CP was right there. The run to CP 10 and CP7 went fast. Talk with the team if we try to grab CP6 but with just 30 minute left we decide to play safe.
