Continuing into Saturday. It poured most of the night only letting up around 5:30am. Some of it was torrential.

Made it back to TA start/finish way sooner than I expected and revised my plan....
sleep until just before dawn and head out on final trek.

My original plan was to spend 3 hrs on the trek. My new plan doubled that and gave me lots of time to recover. It worked very well.

took some time to air out my feet and go over maps.

Did an experiment on foot care:
One foot I retaped and one foot I covered in Foot Goo.
The retaped foot was fine for the remainder of the race.
The Foot Goo foot was feeling sore and had a blister by the end of Sunday.

Leg 1 - Trek
run to the river to get to rafts. First 200m was open but then necked into a narrow single track decent for about 1km before widening a bit. My plan was to push and get in front. It worked and I was first to the rafts :)

Awesome because I got to raft with some really cool people who have done amazing adventures.

Transition to bike
Took time to tend to feet as I could feel the skin at the front starting to wrinkle and split. Taped them, put on dry socks and covered with plastic to help keep dry.

It started to rain so the raincoat came our before heading off on the bike.

This is only the first 3 hrs of what took me 15 hrs and 13 minutes
This 3 hrs was spent on a single trac area that should have been nice but it was dark and pouring rain. Somewhere in here I put on my rain paints as I figured I needed to stay warm for the next 8 hours with temps dropping into the 40's in early morning.

Distance is estimates and removed from total and remainder added to Saturday.
