I wish I had more than 30 minutes with the map before starting... and I didnt realize there were different point values until I was 2/3s into the course. I guess I didnt read through the entire course info online.

I did have a route plan and estimated 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, and 105 minute benchmarks. I was on target for the first 45 minutes but bungled the exit of control 76. I hit the trail heading NW and could not figure out why... until I found the junction with the trail heading to 64 (junction very obscure)

after 75 I was a bit panicked and missed 58. I did manage 68 but the only got 44 and 65 leaving 85,73,79, and 77 in that area.

My plan left 8 controls on the east side of the main creek and I only managed 5 of them before getting to the finish with only 16 seconds to spare.

As usual, I know I could have done better and I would love another crack at it with the plan to prioritize high point controls.

Great day, fun time...
and it was nice being on a real orienteering map instead of 24000 adventure race mapping. I love the detail.
