Brrrr, this was cold. I think I ran the strongest I've ever run this race, which unfortunately was still not that strong. I'll look up last year's pace. I took it easy at first, then on the hills I just kept up a steady pace and tried to push the flats and downhills, but going down the last downhill to the rope climb I kept getting passed and couldn't do anything about it. Oh well. Still a lot of fun and our team is now in third.

Results are here.

Addition: Last years pace was 8:10/mile so I ran about the same... at least it wasn't slower. Whew!

Note
Observatory O Meet (No Sprained Ankle this time!!!)

Addition: I didn't sprain my ankle! It held up just fine. I also seemed to run fairly slow even though I still won I feel like I should've been closer to 55 minutes... Maybe? My mistakes cost me about 6 minutes total.

Results are here.

I had a decent race. I felt like I was able to push my pace a bit on the flats and downhills but once I hit an uphill I slowed way down. The altitude may have had something to do with that.

I made two mistakes, on one control I didn't go far enough down the ridge to the control, circled back up, re-attacked and found it. The second mistake I was too low and passed the control before hooking back up and around to it.

The weather was all over the place too. It was about 50 degrees and alternating between rain, sun, rain, sun and finally snow flurries with lightning and thunder. Colorado weather, go figure...
