JEC long - Overall a disappointing race. Usually I am a bit slower on every leg but today I was making huge time losses and then rage splitting. Was almost late for my start due to lack of toilet facilities at the start so was feeling rushed before I started. The first few were ok but took a really stupid route choice to 6 straight through lots of undergrowth and got caught by 2 minutes. Took the wall and path route choice to 8 and caught her again as she went straight! but then ran off like an idiot to 9 lost lots of time as I didn't have a good plan/ picture so was looking for the wrong feature. Into the green and was taking it carefully until 14 where I completly missed the road and ride and tried to go straight and ended up out near 19 in the open!
Really annoyed with myself as the others around me were now exiting the phi loop. After spectator I just had no energy and very poor compass bearings - went to 22 en route to 25.

JEC Relay - leg 3
Caught up the person ahead in the first loop but she had a very different gaffle. Overshot 10 so 2 Norwegians caught me and then was running too fast trying to keep up with no real plan so got dropped at 13. lost a minute on 17 annd 18 due to bad direction out the control and then got confused at the river crossing. Caught up a German girl through the final loop but ran out of 23 at 90' to the correct direction so she overtook on the run in. Happy to not be too far down in the results- just need to work on having solid plans even when racing head to head with other people. Glad I didn't know my team had mispunched before I went out.

JEC Sprint - adjusting to scale in the woods and not looking up enough eg #3. Found the fastest route choice on the long leg but made a parallel error in the buildings and wasted ~40s. The parkland at the end went well although ended up running through the long grass to #20- not ideal! Mostly need to improve my picture of the control site and make sure I'm not running too fast to stay focused (7)
