Warm-up for pacing Chantal. Kind of amusing, in that as I ran off for my warm-up, someone thought I was a racer and they chased me a couple kms down the road in their truck thinking I was off course, lol (whoops!).

Trail/Off-road Running 3:29:40 intensity: (17:24 @0) + (37:27 @1) + (58:21 @2) + (50:27 @3) + (28:44 @4) + (17:17 @5) 27.27 km (7:41 / km) +882m 6:37 / km

Pacing ChantalW at Oil Creek, for the last part of her 100K. Mostly just keeping her company, chatting and encouraging when needed, trying to ensure I didn't push the pace too much. Absolutely beautiful weather, warm sunny day at the height of fall colour, and nothing but endless single track (except for the short paved run back to the school) - this race is now on my must do list. [Amazed she entertained my suggestion to sprint after 100K when we realized we were still under 12 hours (12:00:03, almost made it)].

Trail/Off-road Running 2:16:47 [0] 18.17 km (7:32 / km) +302m 6:57 / km

Late morning run around the trails near Voyageur Quest (Entrance at North-West corner of Algonquin). Ran out a local trail, and then bush-whacked on a bearing to get to the next known trail (an adventure run/trek :-) ), and up to the top of Tower Hill. Then back down and around the Loxton Beaver loop (chewed up double track, but still quite beautiful out there).

Lucky I started late in the day, as while it wasn't gun hunting season yet, I ran into bow hunters (there was about 7 of them out there near where I was running) as they were finishing for the afternoon. Normally I'd have started at or before dawn and either I'd get shot accidentally, or perhaps have pissed them off for scaring the deer/moose... and got shot, lol ... regardless of my neon yellow jacket.

Trail/Off-road Running 20:00 [2] 1.0 km (20:00 / km)

Missing kilometer on the trek/bushwhack, due to autopause getting confused (the watch was in my pack as the wrist strap was broken). Not sure how long, but bushwhacks are never fast.
