Easy run with Boris in Rancho San Antonio. Felt stiff, and knee sort of hurt when walking later on that afternoon.

Run at Wintergreen Lake again. Left hip felt weird/tight, like it was pulling my foot sideways, so I stopped often to stretch. It's probably from the strength training yesterday. It wasn't raining when I was out, but the streams were full from this morning's downpour and everything was so beautiful! It made me think of Nasten (in Uppsala).

Loop around the lake at West Rock, plus a bit extra. It was so beautiful outside today!

Digression: I've discovered how comfortable tennis skirts are! I used to think that running in a skirt is ridiculous, and indeed the running-specific skirts I've seen before weren't practical, but this Nike tennis skirt that I've got now is amazing! Unlike running shorts with their typical tight, scrunchy waistbands that always sit too high, this skirt has a wide flat waist that ends below my belly button and doesn't slide either up or down. It just sits there, comfortably. Also, the short shorts (i.e. tights) underneath the skirt mean I don't need to worry about the (minimal) length of the skirt. On the other hand the fact that there is a skirt over the shorts means I don't have to keep tugging them down as they ride up (which tight short shorts always do). It's a perfect combo, and the best part is that the skirt looks cute. It could have been my imagination, but I'm pretty sure everybody I passed today took a second glance at what I was wearing.

Run at a random place we stopped at by the road, which had lots of open space and some black sand dunes covered by grass. Stopped lots to take photos, but it was all worth it!

Note

Arrived in Iceland and a did a lot of driving. Set up the tent sometime after midnight in skaftafell, but given that it doesn't get dark here during summer, this was no problem.

Pole dancing class warmup - the abs and pushups stuff was actually pretty good, and some nice stretches as well.

Took a pole dancing class (beginner/intermediate) led by Steve Rechless. Awesome guy - I learned several new moves! I'll try to get some new videos up soon to show off. :)
