Training on another mountain map called Myrflodammen, this time along the side rather than on top. I felt a lot more confident with the contour features today.

We drove to Sälen today and then hurried over to the event center to register for the "training race." We had to run quickly to get to the ski lift in time.

Training race on top of a mountain - Sälfjället. I did most of a 7km course with Boris, stopping to check out features and in general taking it easy. This was really tough orienteering, but awesome to be out here!

Hung control cards for Linne's August event. I was actually out for over an hour, but most of this was finding sticks to contruct posts.

Boris and I went geocaching around Norby, and then I jogged around on trails. Did 4x30" strides again at the end.

Easy run around Stadsskogen. Legs felt much better today - still somewhat tired, but not like on Saturday, when I felt an overwhelming desire to stop and rest when jogging to the start. Towards the end, I did 4x30 second strides, with 1 minutes jogging in between. Felt fine.

Really easy running (with many breaks) while Boris and Peter did the DX Deluxe course. I spent the time looking at a course that Boris drew for me on the Oringen day 5 map.
Note
1. In the afternoon, Boris, Peter, and I went geocaching using my Garmin. This led to a nice hike around Stadsskogen and the successful location of a box of random stuff. Neat. Perhaps I should try doing this on some of my future easy runs.

2. The distances for my upcoming orienteering races are available:
Oringen: sprint, long (10.8 km), middle (6.2 km), chase (7.9 km)
Swedish Ultralong Champs: 16.5 km
US Champs: Day 1 (7.7 km, 235m climb), Day 2 (11 km, 220m climb)

I am really excited!!!
