walked round the classic urban to protect shins. really enjoyed it, very tricky, but made me realise how chuffing slow walking can be. looked a bit of a dick strolling down the main street of Scarborough with my number on.

night score, really fun blitz around raincliffe woods being tailed by a variety of juniors (hard to get away when waking controls up), until Zach Field got away when I mucked up where the mapping seemed a bit dodge. Met up with Oli towards the end and had to hammer it to stay ahead. so much fun.

planned a really nice off road job back from the night score. sadly got a bit lost and confused so had to run back on the road for a bit. really forked by the end.

saw loads of deer, an owl and a massive houseparty.

sprint race. awesome fun and well planned. lost maybe 20 - 30 seconds where accordingly to the post race review of sprint rules I was trying to cheat (leaning over uncrossable fence to punch control as many early starters appear to), but the control had been moved away from the fence by the time I was on the course.

reasonable result considering, I don't appear to be too slow atm.

so tired mentally, really struggled to get round. not enough sleep and trying to balance two jobs. on the more positive side, maaaasive burger king and really looking forward to white rose now and lots of sleep.

left shin bit dodge so may have to just jog / plod on saturday's urban event.

out along river with 2 longer intervals then fartlek on way back. Rolling is helping calves, but R knee on the right hand side was hurting at work, maybe ITB, who knows. fine on run though. really good to get a decent workout, although interval times were a bit slowish 3.40-4.00 depending on climb and depth of grass.
