Run in Ochils from Alva.

Felt really tired to begin with, a mix of yesterday's efforts and steep slopes. Plan was to ascend Ben Cleugh again from a different side. Was soon into the cloud from about 300m up and the forecast wind was really starting to bite. Vis was very low and I missed the turnoff for the track I wanted to take somehow. So with no map and not being able to see much more than 50m had to turn back as soon as the track ran out. Managed to get quite high still though.

Snow melting nicely today - good riddance!

Windy forecast on tops today so went Ochils rather than Munros.

Picked a very steep route up so it was mainly walking up, but still a tough workout. Beautiful blue skies and hazy views, but a persistent W wind (40-60mph forecast) made the tops a bit chilly. Completely frozen above about 600m, a nice winter wasteland.

SEDS night O @ Auchingarrich.

Another epic night o, was feeling really good in control until I lost concentration folding the map on the way #12 and then lost maybe more than 5 mins oops.

SEDS training kindly planned by GG

Really enjoyed this in the pretty brutal area at the South end of Polmaise. Felt like adventure orienteering and I got myself pretty bloody lost on #1, didn't have much clue where I'd gone but it was really hard to hold a bearing in the windblown. Pulled myself a bit together after that, but felt really mentally tired after tough week / day @ work so missed out the more brutal controls. Seemed to have collated a lot of bits of forest in my hair.

Flat fartlek around work campus, had brought shoes in as I knew it would be a late one and it transpired. Feeling very lucky to work in a location with a hill and fields to run round out back...

Short one round Abbey Craig as I was late back. Felt pretty crap and had little energy

Standard up Dumyat (#5). Not much to report. Felt OK. Terrain frozen completely all the way up so it was really nice crunching below my feet, then flipping sketchy on the way down.

Really liking this place and the cold now, just used to it. Although I'm getting quite busy at work now doh.

Gym 10:00 [1]

a poor effort as I ran out of time, but I did walk up to the wallace monument before to compensate
