Ben Ledi.

Nice pootle around the forest tracks to begin with to act as a warm up for a really nice but steep climb up Ben Ledi. Was well in the cloud at the top which made for a nice change from yesterday.

Knee pretty good considering yesterday and was able to amble down the steep descent reasonably well. All looking positive, but still a long way off on the flats.

Now just to sort my right big toe out - still can't wear my X-talons since I hurt the toe in tenerife. Fine in my other shoes as the fold in the footbox isn't over the painful bit.

Beinn Narnain and Ben Ime

Arrochar run that we tried to do two weeks ago but got snowed off. Much better weather today, gorgeous sunshine and was sweating buckets in my leggings and log sleeve thermal. A real alpine feel to the day with cool air up top condensing every breath, but really warm from the sun & reflection of the last remaining patches of snow.

Kept it reasonably safe on the descents for the knee, but this was definitely a lot better on the descent than two weeks ago, good. Managed to run all the way back down to the car, if slow. Can definitely feel the knee afterwards, more sore than pain though.

Put a reasonably amount of effort on the uphills, as shown by the HR! Definitely lost a lot of the top end ability of getting up hills. Think I will be very sore later on.....

Getting a bit more adventurous and went for a bit more climb tonight. Got a twinge from the knee after 21mins when climbing so headed straight back. Could feel it quite a bit plodding down the descent, so still a long way to go before I can dream of getting back up the old Dumyat. I would describe the knee feeling as one level below pain.

rest and a desk assessment at work tomorrow to get proper kitted out, then hit the mountains on Sat :-)

Wasn't sure whether to do this as knee pretty crap at work today, but decided I could treat myself given I "ran" 5 times last week.

Nice pootle up and down and around wallace monument, very cautious on the descents, thankfully knee didn't go off on one. Encouraging.
