BOC relay.
Similar start to yesterday, into that same block of forest and 1 min lost. Today I feel all down to me rather than map. Just not concentrating on the quick run down. So was basically dead last straight away and then managed to be pretty clean for the rest but only really had Barber and Will for company for a few bits.
Really hard to benchmark given the material differences in gaffling (apart from I had the long gaffle, obviously).
Ant and Rich did a great job to bring us in 4th, but c6mins down on the 3rd so a very fair placing (and thankfully my cock up wasn't material to the result).
Got back some love for orienteering this weekend. Roll on Glen Affric next weekend!

BOC Long
Really enjoyable outing, nice to be out there able to compete post illness/shin etc.
Messed up #1 in one of few bits of grotty forest, the mapping just totally threw me and had to do some sanity checks to make sure I was in the right block. Decided just to take it a bit easier from then but then perked up when I saw JT and Ben (6/3mins) going into number 9. Caught them by 10 and then had a good chase round with JT till the end. Pretty clean, got to know the moor section quite well! Was really struggling physically by the end but not surprising given I haven't really done much training, especially that long and tough underfoot. Found it hard work to stay with JT on some of the hills/terrain.
Body generally OK, knee a bit sore on Sunday AM when I woke up but loosened off fine. Think I've finally got rid of the chesty thing :-D

WEE orienteering Plean. Got confused between Plean and Fallin for some reason so pleasently surprised by the area. Reasonably straightforward but very enjoyable.
