at work. felling pretty good. must be the oversleeping and stress subsiding.

seem to have sorted my work out now.... the next chapter appears to be London full time for 6 months from 30 August. Will miss Stirling, but will be back many weekends I'm sure to check the house is still there (oh and plan the Trossachs next April). exciting times.

Dumyat. Just wanted a cruise after yesterday. Felt pretty terrible to start off with but loosened off after a while. Spent the whole time assessing motivation to reach the top but arrived at the top before I could managed to make a decision either way :-) Varying degrees of rain to full on chucking it down near the top but lovely all the same given the warm termperature. No one else out! Knee OK.

Last of the Bridge of Orchy munroes (3) with Sarah. Fantastic day out in the hills with a nice breeze on our backs, lovely ridge running if rocky and the forecast rain didn't materialise.

Roasting up the first draggy climb in thermal but once on the steep climb onto the Stob Ghabar ridge time went a little quicker thankfully. Very glad we turned back before here in spring when the snow had fallen - some really steep north facing slopes that could have been very ropey. Nice trundle on ridges to Creise and Meall a Bhuiridh then we split up on the descent.

Back along the West Highland Way to the car. Glad I carted my trail shoes round the hills as battering along the track in my X-talons wouldn't have been too much fun. Wanted to make a session of this so wanted all km splits to be below 5m/km, regardless of terrain. Not so taxing on the face of it, but with a headwind, 3.5 hours in the legs and a rucksack made it a good work out. Really had to fight for it on km #3 when the road kept going uphill. Then road turned downhill and it was generally always in the bag.
