Note

Ben Tee Corbett.

Probably the nicest Corbett route I've done. Started from Invergarry for a slightly easier gradient along a nice track which seems to really benefit / not-hinder-as-much my achilles. Gradual meandering up past waterfalls through forest (some potential for orienteering) before out on the open.

Turned into a bit of a bog trot on the moor and in the visibility of only maybe 25-50m the summit took a long time to stumble across. Pretty desolate and inhospitable at the top with quite a bit of lying snow (way more than Beinn Bhan), so didn't hang about. The run down felt like the OMM splashing aross the moor.

Achilles wise didn't feel too bad, but it is definitely sore from Friday's jaunt, need to limit really steep stuff off paths as that seems to do it in. Nice to be able to do a lot of fast plodding today.

Didn't see a soul all day at any point on the route.

Beinn Bhan

Cheeky Friday night corbett.

Laptop lid closed just before 5pm and felt like a naughty child escaping from school early. Pretty brutal climb for the most part but took my time. A chilly easterly wind which became incredibly strong when I was tagging along the N-S orientated ridge, it was layer up and goggles in the sunshine which felt a bit weird. Thankfully wind seemed to be localised there so was a more pleasant plod around the top.

Achilles definitely felt the steep climb.

hello training log. that was a fun month, lots of faffing with work, house and orienteering events. not much training though, and I think that's what you're meant to write about here :-)
