Nice evening jaunt. Some challenges route finding on way up (poor mountain craft as no paper map and phone was playing up) but could navigate by stars / lights / memory well enough. sorted myself out eventually.
feeling reasonable fitness wise givne not much mountain stuff done so far this year.
Knee wise ok ish during and achilles seemed happy.

Ummed a bit whether this was a good idea, but it was only 9pm and the -2 degrees and clear skies were too inviting so YOLO.
Terrain proper frozen now the evening had progressed so quick progress up. Missed the main path so some rather dodgy grassy slope ascending. Once on the ridge it was amazing, nice route and clear sight down to the sporadic traffic over ROBT and the A83 down towards Tarbert.
At the top the views were amazing. completely clear night with a lot of moon, so could make quite a few mountain ranges. views to Glasgow and either the Kincnardine or Forth road bridge in the far distance. Only picked out another torch on the Ben Cruachan range at a guess, but otherwise hills to myself. Descent was slow and jolty with everything frozen.
Massive McDonalds afterwards! Back at home about 1.30am :-)
