| 20 reps were too easy, but wanted to do something after tired back from strawberry cleaning (40+ lbs!)... |

| Veery cold - finally talked myself into launching out and around the red buoy after looking down and discovering that I was being stalked by a crab.
A big crab - too bad they're not in season and that I don't pick these things up by hand, or he'd be the appetizer for dinner tomorrow.
The usual initial panic of open water swimming, but I was able to calm myself down and press on, even focus a bit on my technique. I came out cold and rather dizzy - haven't been that dizzy before, may be that it's a little early in the season to do this without a wetsuit.
Collected Anna and came up for a hot shower...and hot tea...and a bowl of our awesome strawberries to get rid of the salty taste in my mouth. Yuck - but not as bad as I had remembered.
Hopefully this will make my tired sore parts feel better! |

 | Cycling (Bay Center - Raleigh) 45:00 [1]10.0 mi (4:30 / mi) | |

| Easy ride to give Vanja a tour of Birch Bay. The Raleigh fits me well and is in surprisingly good shape after 4 years in the shed. I'm hoping for a longer ride later this week if I can get around the stupid oil and gravel mess on our half of the Grandview road. Sigh.
Peter and Anna are loving the beach. I'm addicted to agate hunting as always - the pace required to find them is slow and peaceful. This place has its usual magic.
Nice to know I can get into my pre-kid clothes, too - all my stashed beach stuff still fits. Whoo-hoo! |

| Added in some new moves, 20 reps felt good. Walking on the beach later showed just how much I use those muscles too keep my body steady on the uneven rocks. Last time I noticed that on the beach was while my bad bout of plantar fasciitis was healing when we were at Ft. Lewis.
Wow, that seems like a long time ago. |

 | Swimming (650m) 12:00 [2]0.65 km (18:28 / km) | |
| |
| Laps at Northstar. Usual 300m burn, faded...tough on the lungs. Smoke probably didn't help much - the haze on Weds was TERRIBLE. I was glad to leave. |
