Hiking 5:00:00 [3] 7.3 mi (41:06 / mi)
shoes: Roclite 280-2015

Puzzle Mountain and Woodsum Spur, with a party of 8 (Tom, Florence, Addie, Mei-An, Lynette, Mary, Ruth, Amanda). We went up fast, reaching the South summit in about 2 hours. It was only my second time on the Woodsum Spur trail, which has an overlook off to the side with a great view of Howard Pond. The spur was rugged and tiring. The 3-mile walk back down to the parking seemed to be endless.

The clouds were highly variable, sometimes obscuring the visible peaks. We caught a short shower, which felt good but made the steep rocks slippery.
