Afternoon run because I had meetings in the morning. It was 89 deg. and full sun. It's going to take a few days (weeks?) to get acclimated to the heat. On the last hill up Jennings Rd. I dashed across the intersection to get ahead of a car at the stop sign and was out of breath for a minute or so. Lending some credence to the HR trace, which had been creeping up steadily in the second half of the run.

Slower pace but a lot more climb. Feeling rusty, but no physical issues.

Haven't been able to run, don't know what the deal with my right calf was (not the ankle I sprained a month ago), but it felt fine on Sunday. Short and easy today, checking things out.

Green course at Avalon. Good course with lots of climb, and pretty enjoyable orienteering. I navigated well, making only one real mistake: I went from 3 to 5 instead of to 4. I have no idea why this has been happening, but I keep doing it. Today I was folding my map down so I'd only have one leg showing, but I couldn't really avoid seeing both 4 and 5 on this leg. I left my watch in its charger at home.
