Kayaking 2:06:59 [3] 4.02 km (31:35 / km) +1m 31:32 / km

Sit on top two person Kayak with Chris in San Diego. Went and looked at the caves and snorkeled with the sea lions! They were swimming all around us. We would have stayed in longer but the water was a frosty 62 and even with a full wet suit both my fingers and toes were numb.

Surfing 1:00:00 [3]

Chris and I were going to take a surfing lesson at Pacific beach but they were all full so we just rented boards instead. I stood up once. Chris had better luck. The waves were pretty small so very manageable and it was shallow so we could walk back out through the waves.

Note

Travel day. Flew out of Seattle to San Diego for my friend's wedding. Rehearsal dinner cruise on Thursday, Wedding in Balboa park on Friday, then brunch at the Coronado Beach Hotel on Saturday. We took the red home on Saturday night.

Hiking 4:30:00 [3]

We attempted to hike up Granite mountain to get a great view of Rainier and still be able to bring the dog (not allowed in national parks), but it was really steep and we didn't have enough water plus Bishop (the dog) was getting hot. We made it up to the tree line and could see the top, probably 500 more feet of elevation but decided to turn back. We couldn't see Rainier because of the smoke from the fires up north that filled the sky all over Seattle. Garmin didn't charge the night before so no log. I think we did about 6 miles and 3000' feet of elevation gain (it was steep!).

Biking (Single Speed) 4:17:55 [3] 30.2 km (8:32 / km) +53m 8:28 / km

Went to Fort Stevens state park to camp for the night. We got up and rented old cruising bikes to ride around the park and visit all the historical areas. Lots of bike paths to ride on! It was great!
