Orienteering race (QBIII Day 3 SL9) 49:20 [4] 7.0 km (7:03 / km) +93m 6:37 / km

ran hard for 20 mins then struggles with speed, after 30 mins I was beat, 3 min mistake at 37 mins to show for it

Hit 1 good, #2 seemed to be a long way up the hill, I am willing to bet that this was misplaced, the GPS shows it may be about 100m too high - but it could just be me ?!?!
saw the shed for #3 was lucky for #4 as i was not sure if i was high or low, lucky i was spot on.
small drift at 5 but recognised the bare rock
lost 20s at 6 - wanted to make sure #17 was in the correct position on my way ;)
lost 30s at 7. hit the control but was looking for a gully, after a breif search I found the control was hidden next to a boulder as was outlined by the control description
fastest split to 8 (YAY!!) probably due to me being annoyed at 2 minor errors in 2 controls

clean run to 14, struggled running to 15, thought i kept a good line, hit the rocky ground but no control, guessed i had to follow the rocky ground S to the end, I am not 100% sure this control was in the right place, ie the rocky ground might extend another 50m S which is where the control is

clean run to 23 but running was getting harder,

hit the ant nest going to 24, but not the one I thought I hit, so continued the wrong line to 25, was too tired to think about checking control description, just thought I drifted N and hit the rock, went E then N before I saw 24, didn't know it was 24 until I got there, brain had gone from 23 to the finish so it was just my legs moving randomly from that stage ..

another 20s lost at 26, brain was absent. i think it was attracted to a streamer and control from the VE course.

would have been very happy with the run and 4 minor errors, but the big one I wouild not like to repeat...

Orienteering race (QBIII Day 2 SL8) 1:14:36 [4] 10.5 km (7:06 / km) +179m 6:33 / km

happy with run
slow at 7 and 10 due to drinking at 6 and 9

initially was going straight to 6 but decided to go around when there were some nice animal trails going via 8

went wide twice
wanted to go straight to 8 but ended up going right, wasn't too bothered as i didn't have to walk up the hill

didn't go straight to 20, was very exhausted at 19, i think my brain was having a rest

everything else was pretty clean, first struggle was hill to 11 then all the steep hills after that.

Orienteering race (QBIII Day 1 SL7) 20:26 [5] 3.3 km (6:12 / km) +27m 5:57 / km

good run, slowis at first, but managed a good speed until running out of puff at the end
minor errors
10s at 1 cheching N rockface first
20s at 8 drifting S almost to 11, glad i didn't see control else i may have gone to it
10s at 19, came out of 18 at 90 degrees off .. but recovered ok, think i was just too tired, don't remember doing that.

was equal to Jock at 17 and ahead of Greg Barbour, but didn't have the legs at the end.

AP splits have no errors so I guess that is a good thing.
