Wasn't gonna, but then did. Dunnerdale minus Todd. Feeling good again on the hills. Another week or so easy running then back on with the proper training.

Parkyparkrun. Wow what a beautiful morning and such a cool setting for a parkrun right by the lake. Set off hard and died a bit in the last mile. Was on my own from the start and stayed ahead of Harvey Lord (Black Combe) who was next home. About where I thought I was on the flat at the moment. The course is undulating and off road so not bad considering. 2 seconds off Lizzie's time of a month ago, she doesn't need to know! Haven't done anything like this in about a year so a good time to work on over winter. Calves like stone afterwards!

(rest day)

After a brilliant end of season where I think I really made some positive steps forward including my first champs top 10, it's time to have a little rest and sort myself out for some good training before next years races start in March. Just shows what an injury free summer in the Lakes can do! Also I've been allowing myself much more time to rest which has prevented any over-training and long-term fatigue, which has always been my problem in the past. Keeping it nice and chilled for two or three weeks then start to do a bit more come mid-November. There's definitely no rush. Hoping to get a good group of the faster Ambleside lads out once a week for some speedy stuff. Just got to be careful not to over-do it.
