From Grasmere up Stone Arthur, Great Rigg, Fairfield, Seat Sandle and back down into Grasmere with Harold and Garry. Absolutely stunning day, possibly best conditions for skiing / downhill running I've seen in the Lakes and clear blue skies. Slow going in the ft deep snow but worth it for the views and the crazy descent off Fairfield.

At the wall with Kelli, Pete and Tierney. Feeling good tonight. Upper arm injury still noticeable but not causing a problem.

Easy week so just running the session. Although I have added a short tempo effort into my easy weeks to keep my legs ticking over. We changed the session at the last minute due to icy corners so did a 7 min tempo followed by 2 sets of 8 laps effort on the straights jog the corners. I just did the tempo. Not too far behind Matt.

Then did 30 mins of quality drills. High knees getting better and feeling really snappy. Itching to race but know this is prime time to hold back.

I've entered Carnethy. Partly as I've heard so much about how great it is but mostly through peer pressure - we have a half decent team going... I've also got my name on the list for High Cup Nick for a bit of quality field racing before Edale. Looking forward to the next few months.

Back at the wall with Katie. Went easy ish to look after the arm and it was fine. Feeling good before the fingers went. Could still do yellows even with a month off.
