Philly marathon.
I knew that breaking 3 hours would be a stretch. Training has gone great, but I haven't been all that great on the eating front so I'm about ten pounds heavier than when I ran a 3:02.... So I took it out at a pace for about a 3:05 or so for the first 5 miles, then at about ten miles or so I felt really good and decided I mine as well pick it up and go for the sub 3.... which I managed to hold on to until about mile 20 when I really started feeling it. I didn't exactly die or anything the last couple of miles, but I fell back. I definitely didn't feel as absolutely terrible as I did the two I did last spring/summer. I was super happy with the result though. Philly is a great marathon. Tons of energy, great crowds, ad perfect weather. I'd never seen the city so it was great to run through it and get the tour. Overall, a great experience!
