OC Tri
Felt good on the swim, felt like I was giving it a good effort, was trying to stay on feet but lost the girl I was trying to hang on to (who went off course for the first 200m)
Watch says I swam 1.05

Must sight better for KS
8 AM

Bike race (OC Tri) 1:15:00 [5] 40.0 km (1:53 / km)

Pushed it pretty hard on the bike. Used Ryan's race wheels and was getting pushed around a bit in the canyon from some cross winds, so was holding on pretty tight at some points.

Passed a lot of people. Got passed by 2 girls. One about mid way through, but saw her age was 39 so knew she wasn't in my AG, the other passed in the last section where I should have been moving faster, but it was winding and I didn't know how much further I had to go so got out of aerobars.
9 AM

Run race (OC Tri) 45:14 [5] 10.0 km (4:31 / km)

OUCH!! This run HURT! Legs felt pretty tired from the start. Took some water down and was hoping the muscles would loosen up. I knew it was only 6 miles, so I could push and hope to sustain until the end. Tried to stay around 7:00/mile for the first section knowing that the hills would drop my pace.
First hill on the chip trail def got the legs feeling tired again, but felt pretty good through the rollers on the trail. Then hit the big hill, bombed up the first section of it, passing a bunch of people, including both girls that passed me on the bike. Got about 1/2 way up and thought I was either going to puke or pass out. Told myself not to walk (as much as I wanted to) even if I was just slowly shuffling the feet. Got to the top and was breathing HEAVY! about 3 miles left to go...just wanted to crank it and be done.

I pushed as much as I could for the last part. Felt good coming off the trail and seeing Ryan, Veronica, and Eric there cheering. I knew I had one more uphill at the back end turn around, so tried to push up that and keep my form and then send it for the downhill descent for the last mile.
Just kept telling myself that I KS is going to be tough and I need to be mentally strong.

Was happy with my finish!
