running 38:00 [3] 4.22 mi (9:00 / mi)
(injured) (sick)

After 30 minutes, the leg hurt again so I walked back. (probably not good for my sore throat.) Today the hamstring part didn't hurt, only the shin calf and knee part. What is going on?!?!?!

Thanks to some Nyquil I slept great.

Note

Sooooo weird not to be running on a Saturday!!! I guess academic-wise it'll probably help me though, because I'm always in more of a mood to do homework Saturday than Sunday.

running (Tempo!!!!!) 21:55 [4] 3.0 mi (7:18 / mi)

Decided to do a shorter one today because we're switching to a Sunday-Tuesday-Friday schedule, which means I had to work out today and I already worked out Wednesday.

The wind was blowing really hard, and I felt terrible starting out but then somewhere during mile two I turned away from the wind.

7:34
7:20
7:01

The 7:01 was the mile that last week I ran a 7:44 for. Must've been bc I was sick last week.

running 33:00 [3] 3.67 mi (9:00 / mi)

On the last few hundred meters of my workout I had this really weird cramp that was in my calf, my IT band, my hamstring, and the front part of my knee. So I cooled down a minimum amount and then walked the last mile back to campus, just in case. I think I'll ice in the general area, because I probably strained something.

running intervals 19:01 [4] 3.0 mi (6:20 / mi)

Really windy today.

1600 @ goal 5k pace (4:00), 1200 @ goal 5k pace (3:00), 1k @ goal mile pace (2:30), 600@ goal mile (1:30), 400 @ goal mile.

6:34 (4:00)
4:51 (3:03), 6:28 pace
3:54 (2:31), 6:14 pace
2:13 (1:32), 5:54 pace
1:29, 5:56 pace

Felt really super-good!!!!!! In other workouts my legs haven't felt smooth in the faster stuff, but today they did! And I was worried about being tired after Monday, and I wasn't!!!!! And my legs felt really good afterwards. Good enough to do running circuit.

running warm up/down 54:27 [3] 6.22 mi (8:45 / mi)

also includes the rest. Went fairly fast for the first 10 minutes of the cooldown because my legs felt so good after stretching out on the 600 and 400. Then slowed down and did a lot of laughing and three-man-weave with a soccer ball with teammates.

core/legs 20:15 [3] 0.75 mi (27:00 / mi)

Running-/ running-drill-circuit. Did the running one for about 15 minutes, with double core so as to not further tire my legs. Then did running drills for the rest.

core/legs 22:00 [3] 0.7 mi (31:25 / mi)

8x100m running-circuit, then running drill-circuit along the width of the turf.

running 1:20:00 [3] 10.1 mi (7:55 / mi)

Wow. I just mapped my run and apparently we weren't lolligagging (sp?). I can't remember the last time I ran 10 miles. It felt slightly uncomfortable, but I wasn't breathing too hard to talk, and my legs weren't complaining. And it felt really smooth and natural to be running!

I'll wait till tomorrow to decide whether I ran too hard though. Coach likes to talk about "Monday syndrome."

Note

Was very upset that I had to ride back to studio to get my philosophy book, but I think it prevented me from falling asleep right after dinner and maybe let my legs stretch out a bit. I walked up the hills:)
