Stops and edge work on the concrete outside lab! Took video, want to figure out how to use this thing called reclipped to make collections of my progression on different skills :)
Note from league meeting: I MADE THE A TEAM FOR ROLLER DERBY!!! EXCITING!!!
Note
Other note: will back-log roller derby at some point, but basically I've been doing Monday/Thursday practices with the exception of last thursday, plus the occasional (short) evening jog.
Dropping in with ABQ roller derby! Had a major hiking (/altitude?) hangover from the day before, so was difficult to motivate myself to get out the door. But was super fun, met some people, and got to grab brunch with them after! The one coaching that day randomly knew someone I met at a Harry Potter scrimmage last year in AZ and another ref I know. Small world!
Also got to practice 2-footed jumps over short disc cones different distances apart, and I got much more confident than I thought I would!!!

GOT A SOUVENIR 5-MIN LAP TEST!!!! Super fun!!!! Did 29.95, on an outdoor surface with at least 2 big cracks in it. (I've been doing 32 on our nice indoor wood floor, at sea level.) Not bad!!!
Note from evening: had felt fine during hiking/derby, but was pretty nauseous/didn't have a great appetite Saturday evening onward, then after I got home to SD and was going to bed, had a ginormous coughing fit with lots of junk in my lungs when I was laying down (no other indication I was sick!) :/ One day later went away, but felt lucky we had league meeting tonight (Monday) instead of practice!

Hiking in ABQ! Visiting a mobile gaming friend from SD who's there to do boxing and apparently knows all the cool hikes too.
According to Strava, my memory, and my geo-tagged photos, started at ~1860m and peaked at ~2490m. No wonder I was feeling the altitude! I guess I know in my head NM's at altitude, but it just looks so flat that I'm never thinking about it like I am in CO or WY. Tried to run up the first hill and realized quickly that it was a mistake :P
Was a relatively flat ridge hike in places, with some steep bits at the beginning and end. (And cacti to avoid!)
Was more drained than I thought after this, maybe bc it got cold towards the end.
