Wouldn't normally do something this exciting this soon after my previous exciting thing, but Phil was driving up so it seemed rude to say no.
Parked at Glenshee, got out of the car and decided it was cold enough to start in tights, jacket, hat and gloves. Started up the Cairnwell and detighted at the top, then a bit of ridge running through varying levels of mist to Carn na Gheoigh. Mist cleared as we were heading over to Carn Bhinnein. Down to the glen and then a big climb up to Glas Tulaichean, then another big descent and and found a nice path up Carn an Righ. Back down the way we came and across to Mam nan Carn, then a dogleg to Ben Iutharn Mhor and back round to Ben Iutharn Beg. Big descent and climb to the ridge of an Socarch, with a Munro at the west end and a Munro Top at the East. Down into a big rough glen and up the last big climb to Carn Aosda, before some rapid ski-piste decending back to the car.
Really good day out, almost everything was completely runnable (except for the gradient). Quite cold but manageable with good jacket and glove scheduling. Lots of nice wildlife, including buzzards, ravens, shrews/voles/small rodenty things, 1 or 2 herds of red deer and a herd of reindeer (I think)
