Another CBD score, out of Pyrmont.

This was a bit trickier with a change of levels, one of which I didn't notice until a bit late, leading to a pause as I tried to figure out where there were steps to get up higher.

I also overshot a couple of controls, and more generally I was still feeling beaten up from the weekend's orienteering.

On my way back to work, passed through the intersection of York and King Streets about 20 minutes before a stabbing incident that shut down the city centre for several hours.

Sometimes I wonder if I should have stayed home.

I had trouble with most controls, the terrain was greener than mapped, and it kept grabbing my shoes and making me fall over.

Number 7 had an ambiguous description- there were two ‘middle’ cliffs at the middle of the circle, separated by about 20 metres of climb. I stood a metre from the control without seeing it, and then wandered around aimlessly, peering hopefully over the edge of cliffs, until a couple came along and called out they had found it.

I fell over about a third of the way around, and hit a rock with my knee. I could barely walk for a while, and didn’t do much more than a walk for the rest.

I also picked up a huge graze and swollen shin along the way, which looks like it will stay swollen for about a month.

Faffed around in cutty grass and blackberries for the final control, which I have a strong suspicion was not on the mapped feature, but by then I really didn’t care.

And oh, yeah, my compass developed a bubble.
