Orienteering race (British Middle) 54:40 [3] 6.6 km (8:17 / km)
shoes: X-talon 212

Took it slow on the first 5 because it was such a technical area, still made a mistake on 3. Then on the way to 6 made a big compass bearing error and ended up searching for a control about 100m away from the actual control site , the only reason I looked for so long was because there were 2 other people looking in the same place, but then guided both of them to the right place. By this time there were about 6 people in a train going from 7 to 8 to 9. On the longer leg I manged to stick with the 3 faster runners who broke off from the rest and luckily had them to follow in the technical area. Stayed with them until 19 where I made a mistake. Overall felt pretty fast but I think tailing 3 people helped.

Pretty clean run but lost quite a bit of time at the control sites trying to find them hid behind bushes etc.. Felt a bit slow on the uphill sections.

Orienteering (Final C) 18:48 [3] 3.2 km (5:52 / km)
shoes: New Balance Minimus

Had a really bad run from the start. Messed up 1 and 2. This made me run a lot faster so was pretty quick on the next few controls but this came at a price made a big mistake on 15 and another mistake on 16. Was annoyed with myself when I finished because I felt fast but the area was just a bit too technical
