Junior state league pennants against Blue Gum. Played Jaidon Chow (UTR 7.99) at #3 singles, won 6-1 6-2. Nothing special but generally solid other than my second serve still being a bit shaky. We were down 1-3 in matches after the singles, needing to win both doubles in straight sets to have any chance of winning. Scott and Ryan came just for doubles so they got on court first while Henry was still playing singles, and won 6-4 6-4. Cameron and I didn't get started on the second doubles against James and Giri until 12:30. We went up 5-2, at which point we hit the time limit but agreed to finish the set before stopping. From there we lost 4 games in a row with 3 sudden death deuces, and went down 5-6 30-40 but saved 2 set points and ended up winning the tiebreaker 7-4. We agreed to call it quits there since it was 1:40 already and we didn't want to play for another hour in the heat. I think at the end we may have just done enough to keep it as a draw but not entirely sure on some scores so Blue Gum may have won by a couple games.

City Beach metro. Route wasn't the best but not too bad. Should have dropped #28 since the climb was more than I had expected. Also took a couple of bad route choices because I didn't realise that they were soft sand tracks rather than paved. Also lost close to a minute at #9 waiting for a gap in the traffic.

Ran from home over to UWA with Amy for Riley's orienteering training. Focusing on navigation inside the control circle. 3x 2km courses but they were all very similar so the second and third were pretty simple navigation wise.
