Orienteering 37:43 [2]
shoes: Inov8 Trail Roc 255

Orienteering with the family at Shaw Nature Reserve. Success!! Everyone had fun. 7 controls (which was 4 more than last year) and even some spirited competition between kiddos to be the one to spot the control first. OK - the promise of cookies at the end also provided a little motivation for them.

Bike (paved, gravel, and grass) 1:06:21 [3] 14.1 mi (12.8 mph)

Very uncreative ride on surrounding subdivision roads. Still feel pretty blah -- just can't seem to shake this bug! Grrrrr...................

Bike (singetrack) 1:30:00 [3]

Ahh...my evil plan implemented! Drove from Cinci to Columbus, IN last night which put me in an ideal position to hit Brown County S.P. early and still get back to STL in time to pick up kiddos. Suh-WEET singletrack! I see why this area is midwest MTB mecca. Trails were beautifully frozen this morning and in primo condition. I will definitely try to do this again next trip -- same exact driving distance as the route through Indy that I usually do.

Was so excited to get on the trail that I forgot to turn on computer so no distance data. Duh!

Run 33:52 [2] 3.0 mi (11:17 / mi)
shoes: Inov8 Trail Roc 255

Was making good time on my drive home and was sick of sitting, so took a 10 min. detour off I70 to Lincoln Trail S.P. Pretty little woodland trails and a nice easy jog to pep me up for the last few hours of driving. Gotta love state parks that are close to the interstate!

Usually I'd rather fly to biz destinations than drive, but it's these fun little diversions that make the driving bearable.

Run 40:45 [2] 3.5 mi (11:39 / mi)
shoes: Inov8 Trail Roc 245

Lovely trails abound at my job site (Fernald Preserve) so decided to perform a 'field inspection'. Distance an estimate. Beautiful wetlands and waterfowl everywhere -- if you're going to spend $4 billion to clean up a uranium refinery, this is the way to do it!!

Definitely feeling peppier today. Finally.

Strength/Stretch 30:00 [2]

Biz trip to Cincinnati this week. Managed to stuff my bike in the rental car with hopes of implementing an evil plan for a ride on IMBA Epic trails on Thursday. Keeping fingers crossed for everything going according to schedule...

Long, boring drive today so just did simple strength/stretch routine in my hotel room.
