Hiking at Johnson's Shut Ins. Plus lots of swimming. The Black River water felt SO GOOD since I got seriously chiggered yesterday helping my daughter out of the canoe for a needed potty break mid-way through our paddle. Like 100+ bites. Can't. Stand. Chiggers.

Family camping trip to Council Bluff RA! After playing in the swim area all day, we took a canoe out for a lovely evening paddle. Out for 1.5 hrs., but 20 min of very energetic paddling at the end to beat an angry looking T-storm. So 20 min. it is. Stormed all night which dampened my spirits for a night run after kiddos were asleep. But the tent stayed nice and dry which was nice.

Bike from KM studio to home. Busch area roads had a lovely 5" layer of fine powdery dust covering them. Blech. Hwy D ROW is SO much easier w/ the mtb.

Last personal training session @ the gym. Had to admit that I wouldn't have expended quite this kind of effort on my own at a 4AM session. Makes a difference to have someone watching over you! Sick to my stomach at the end so I guess I did good.
