Bike 36:37 [3] 7.63 mi (12.5 mph) +241ft
shoes: Trek Superfly 100

Last ride @ Potawatomi - sniff. Half trailer bike, half unattached while hubby stayed w/ kiddos.
4 PM

Paddling 1:00:00 [2] 2.5 mi (24:00 / mi)

Nice calm lake today. SUP paddle w/ daughter on board. Went farther than the other day. Air temperature pretty warm so a little steamy in my wetsuit outfit. BUT...one of the beauties of SUP is that you can just hop off for a cool dip and climb back on. Certainly can't do that in a kayak (at least not w/out a lot of trouble paddle-floating, bilge-pumping, etc.). And definitely not w/ a 5 yr. old passenger! Once my passenger was on shore, practiced jumping off in deepish water and crawling back on. Easy and totally fun.
10 PM

Run (paved and sand) 42:00 [3] 4.04 mi (10:24 / mi) +48ft 10:17 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Stinson EVO

Night jog - mostly on road, some lakeshore. Peaceful clear night w/ tons O' stars.

Hiking 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Morning beach/dune hike w/ daughter. She wanted to go earlier -- but I desired coffee. No late sleepers in this family!
11 AM

Bike 35:04 [3] 6.62 mi (11.3 mph) +220ft
shoes: Trek Superfly 100

Trailer bike around Potawatomi. So pretty and shady and green w/ awesome water views.
4 PM

Note

Windy/wavy chop at the beach today. Attempted SUP but clearly don't have my surf legs developed enough to stand up -- although I tried (and splashily failed). Instead, used the board to surf kiddos to shore while they sat -- lots of laughs. Wetsuits rock. We were in the water for hours.

Paddling (SUP) 1:00:00 [2] 2.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

Score! Rental house has a SUP board. Nice timing because I am seriously considering Shane P.'s lessons at some point. Weather was cooperating today so took it out for a spin w/ daughter aboard. Like most 1st time new sports, was trying to focus on technique ( i.e. not falling) rather than physical effort. Practiced exit into water and climbing back on too. Fun!!! LOVE our house's beach area. Crystal clear water and soft sand everywhere. Shortie wetsuit + farmer john + 6 mm booties + neoprene kayak gloves seemed like total overkill but I wasn't cold once and I am a wuss when it comes to 57 deg. water. OK -- got brain freeze a few times but no biggie. Time/dist. an estimate.
6 PM

Bike 40:17 [3] 7.75 mi (11.5 mph) +224ft
shoes: Trek Superfly 100

Bike w/ fam (and trailer) around Potawatomi SP. Rock skipping session after.
10 PM

Run (paved and sand) 31:19 [3] 2.85 mi (10:59 / mi) +62ft 10:46 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Stinson EVO

Night jog on road and lakeshore (about 50/50). All 60' of climb due to going up sand dunes. Hokas are pretty good in soft sand -- assumed due to giant footprint.

Strength/Stretch 10:00 [2]

3 sets of 15 pushups, 2x60 sec. planks, static stretch of quads and hammies. Barely, BARELY squeaked out the 2nd plank which was surprising -- think the SUP-ing worked more core than I realized. Good!

Paddling 40:00 [2] 2.5 mi (16:00 / mi)

Family kayak trip across Europe Lake to Lake Mi. Tandem kayak handled decent but a tad sluggish compared to my boat at home. FUN to have kiddos enjoying kayaking!!! Out longer than logged time -- did some adjusting.

Hiking 30:00 [1] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Hiking in Newport SP midway through our little kayak adventure.
5 PM

Bike (paved) 40:00 [3] 7.0 mi (10.5 mph)

Bike around Potawatomi SP roads w/ stops for baseball practice, climbing up the lookout tower, etc. Next year we should all be able to bike independently but for now we're sticking w/ the tagalong/trailer combo. Trailer gives a great workout.
