10 AM

Run (paved) 37:02 [3] 3.78 mi (9:48 / mi) +431ft 8:51 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Bondi B 2

Mo. Day run -- one full lap of my in-laws' moderately hilly subdivision roads.

Strength/Stretch 10:00 [3]

Walking lunges then 3 sets of pushups (15,15,20) interspersed w/ 2 sets of 90 sec. planks (shifting from forearms to hands throughout the 90 sec.). Plus some legs swings.
3 PM

Other (portage) 12:00 [3] 0.6 mi (20:00 / mi)

Mo. Day fun continues...portage of my SUP board from prkg. lot to lake @ River's Edge park. Board isn't heavy (25-ish pounds) but is awkward to carry. Underestimated the difficulty -- good bonus workout.

Paddling (SUP) 32:12 [3] 1.55 mi (20:47 / mi)
shoes: CBC 10 Six Classic

Like I need another sport/piece of gear in my life...sort of a long story on how I obtained a SUP board. It's certainly not high end or fast, but totally functional and the price was right. Although I have extremely limited experience with SUP, there are many things about it that appeal to me (that kayaking cannot duplicate). This maiden voyage was around the darling little River's Edge lake. Even got a small taste of dealing with wind as the T-storm rolled in. Got off the water and packed up just as it was hitting. Very fun outing!

Other (portage) 12:00 [3]

Portage board back to car. It was sort of like carrying a giant sail with the t-storm rolling in.

Note

My AP log is remarkably representative of my training: inconsistent and highly unfocused.
10 PM

Run (gravel) 34:35 [3] 3.31 mi (10:27 / mi) +264ft 9:43 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Bondi B 2

Evening trot on our driveway and gravel road. Easy pace - tummy feeling icky.

Strength/Stretch 10:00 [3]

- Walking lunges, leg swings, and static quad stretch
- 2 min. plank (on hands instead of forearms like I normally do) x2

I read somewhere that planks on hands are supposed to be more challenging than on the forearms. Didn't seem that way to me. Although I was whimpering at the end, these were doable. On forearms -- not sure I could complete. Will test in a couple days.

Krav Maga 2:00:00 [2]

KM level 1 and my first ever KM level 2 class! More intricate skills = less of a workout. Bit of a trade-off there.

Hiking 10:00 [2]

Bin pickup w/ daughter in tow. She was running ahead of me then slipped sideways on the gravel and down she went. Got a nice mtb-style hip bruise. Lots of tears but I convinced her it really wasn't any different than the countless number of times she's fallen on the ice in hockey, just a bit less padding....but then ice is harder so it really comes out equal.
