Paddling (SUP) 1:30:00 [2] 2.43 mi (37:02 / mi)

Finally redeeming my mother's day gift -- a SUP lesson w/ none other than Shane P., master expedition SUPer who is right here in St. Lou. Fun to hear about his upcoming mega-mile water adventures in Alaska and Florida. Learned I was doing some stuff right and some stuff wrong (or not at all) so it was good to get form/technique pointers. Did pivot turns without falling off! The past month I have been standing on an Indo-type balance board @ work while typing or during conf. calls and I seriously think that has significantly improved my balance. NOTHING un-fun about this session!!
4 PM

Run (paved) 15:00 [2]
shoes: Hoka One One Kailua Trail

Run around Bettie's Lake @ Broemmelsiek trying to catch up w/ my kindergartener who is quite the little runner and loves nothing more than beating her brother.

Note

Chiro appt. #6: Trigger point work, ultrasound, followed by somewhat aggressive e-stim on upper shoulders. Decidedly less tingling in the R arm a day or two later, so good results. Plus, I started using a new, special sleeping pillow so that may be helping. Finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I was beginning to wonder if I would have to deal with chronic nerve pain. Doesn't look like it. Phew

Run (gravel, grass and paved) 32:28 [3] 3.31 mi (9:49 / mi) +270ft 9:06 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Bondi B 2

Run around surrounding subdivisions. Lovely sunrise, birds chirping!
7 PM

Krav Maga 2:00:00 [2]

KM level 1 and 2 classes. Lots of repetitive hook combos w/ focus mitt-holding in level 2. Thought I knew hooks from doing tons of them in heavy bag classes...nope. Form needs work. That's what level 2 is all about - technique refinement - and I need lots of that.

- Jumprope w/ DUs; intervals of 3, 4, and 5 linked DUs (I am not great at linking them - barely squeaked out 5 in a row)
- Some simple static stretches
