Run (trail) 53:51 [3] 5.03 mi (10:42 / mi) +381ft 9:59 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Kailua Trail

One lap around all trails at Broemmelsiek. Lots of horse doo, but the new section of trail was nicely smoothed/beaten down so I suppose I have them to thank for that.

Hiking (trail and cave) 45:00 [1] 2.0 mi (22:30 / mi)

Day trip to Onondaga Cave S.P. w/ the fam. We did the Cathedral Cave tour which we hadn't done before and requires a little trail hike to get to the entrance. Cave is unlit and a bit more rugged than some which adds to the fun. Critter sightings: only one bat and 2 wolf spiders. But the geologic splendor made up for it! Logging one-third time.
6 PM

Run (gravel, grass and paved) 47:03 [3] 4.89 mi (9:37 / mi) +303ft 9:05 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Kailua Trail

Jog around the neighborhood leading directly into family tent campout night and bonfire in our yard.

Note

Whoa - 2 more races. Gettin' crazy. Rockin' Rockwoods 20k for a training run only (and because I love the Greenrock trail and also dig the 7AM start time so it won't kill the whole day). I don't have much of a training base so will be very careful and will probably walk part of it. Then CW8! With the Scherffinator and Carrie. We're trying to find a 4th gal. Whee!
5 PM

Skating (ice) 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: Graf Ultra G5

Stick and puck at Lindenwood with the fam. Place was a zoo - pucks flying everywhere!
7 PM

Krav Maga 2:00:00 [2]

KM level 1 and 2 classes. Paul kept us moving. I definitely prefer that over longer periods of technique instruction.
9 PM

Run (gravel, grass and paved) 36:09 [4] 4.1 mi (8:49 / mi) +233ft 8:22 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Kailua Trail

I guess I was fired up from kicking and punching stuff all evening. At the very least, I was nicely warmed up for a run around my neighborhood area. I haven't run this "fast" in a long, long time. The gravel and grass sections were difficult to keep pace on. Watched the moonrise!

Bike (gravel) 39:40 [3] 9.59 mi (14.5 mph) +312ft
shoes: Motobecane Fantom X Team Ti

Low key Hamburg/Katy out and back. Going down the Hamburg hill the trail was clear but coming back up, a beautiful blacksnake whose skin looked like velvet was sprawled across the trail. Tried to give a wide berth so as to not disturb him.
