Not the usual Sat. KM stuff -- guest instructor from out of town teaching a kickboxing class. A little more intense sparring than I'm used to but it was all good.

Another run w/ Boss - this time on Madeira Beach near the hotel. Messed up my garmin at the end so time/dist. slightly estimated. Another hot/steamy scorcher, this time with soft, gushy sand instead of pavement. Approaching a 5 in intensity, I had to stop and walk near the end due to extremely ill tummy feeling. Boss was just skipping along like it was no big deal. He is quite the talented 60+ athlete. Would be interesting to see him go head to head w/ matzah ball - they have similar builds and (outstanding) speed.

My boss from CO (who is also on this trip) is not only a great cyclist, but also a great runner. He suggested we hit the Pinellas County trail for a run. Yes, I'm game! It's just a paved rail trail, but has lovely tropical vegetation and a few scraps of shade. The heat index was well over 100 but I gamely plodded and wheezed along, well aware that he barely appeared winded despite the oppressive humidity. And he's from the desert! Tough run for me.

Treadmill run in hotel fitness room. Not a bad view of sparkling intercoastal waterway through wall of glass windows. Not complaining! Speed/incline variations.
