Greenway + Katy O&Bs in both directions: Late start resulted in tough conditions - blustery/blowing snow w/ some accumulation on much of Katy sections. Colder than anticipated - planned for 30F but 18F at finish & I hovered on the edge of too cold due to sub-par clothing selections. Was glad to have a bit of contingency clothing (wind pants). Needed a little more for hands/feet, although Japanthers performed admirably considering. Note to self: toe warmers that expired in 2012 last 30 min. max, if lucky. Doh! Had a light and planned to ride more but opted to end @ dusk due to clothing miscalculation.

Sun came out the last 8 mi. & was spectacular - sparkly, twinkling snowflakes drifting down to the trail and landscape-painting-worthy pink clouds over quiet Mo. River. Ahhhh...

Power Up - WU then a 5 mi./4% grade hill @ 170w. Every 5 min., do a 1 min. surge @ 205w, dropping back to 170w after the min. 130w on downhill/flat, & then repeat w/ another hill. Red-faced.

Biz trip to Denver this week. While walking in the office hallway, somehow (??!? - and I wasn't even looking at my phone) ran smack into a drinking fountain and seriously bashed my upper left quad. No injury, and not even a visible bruise, but wow, SORE. Sooo dumb. Drinking fountain was also unhurt. Amazing it didn't get torn off the wall.

Anyway, kinda lame t-mill run in my fav hotel gym. Should have done more but between collision issue and dinner w/ co-workers..."better than nothing".

Swim 5:00 [3]

A few laps in the infamous 24/7/365 huge outdoor pool @ hotel. Plus off-clock paddling around. I like making fun of it's excess, but certainly don't mind enjoying it when in town.
