40 mi. Busch gravel plus hike/bike trail. Then 3+ Hamburg/Katy/Greenway laps when I couldn't stand the dust clouds anymore. Tried to push the pace on the H/K/G laps. Weather couldn't have been any more lovely! Sad to miss the O' meet - decisions, decisions. Needed a long ride and only had this block of time.

As part of my work heat stress monitoring program, I was given a Polar A370 watch (for HR monitoring) and encouraged to use it for personal wellness activities. OK - sure! As suspected, HR is a little low compared to Garmin chest strap. Polar HR on this ride: Avg - 123; Max - 141

Dropped daughter off @ b-day party, then headed to Broemmelsiek to ride while waiting. Approx. 8 mi. grass horse paths (rough! but green and pretty) plus a touch singletrack and rest paved park roads. Arms/hands got a workout.

Polar HR - Avg - 117, Max - 136. Way off! Watch wasn't cinched down on wrist.

Biz trip to Cincinnati this week is kind of kicking my butt. But I did get out for a delightful run w/ my boss @ Sharon Woods Park - very pretty winding paved trail through woods and around a lake. I struggled to hang w/ him for 3 mi. then backed off & told him to go ahead so he could get negative splits. He is a strong athlete!
