Well that was super dumb.
Easy laps around track w/ son @ daughter's practice. He wanted to stop after 2 mi. and play catch - sure...if you can stand my throwing. Then I noticed the team was practicing 4x100 relays (d's event @ the meet this weekend) and they were having parents fill in empty slots as needed. I jumped in on leg 4 of d's team and that was super fun for a few rounds until the old familiar popping sensation in the back of my L leg. Ugggghhhhh. I stopped immediately. Sprinting (warmed up and not even close to all-out!) apparently was a very, very bad idea. In the past, this has been at least several months of rehab - generally affecting running only.
A good reminder I am not invincible and PT strengthening/flexibility should NOT be an afterthought once a week.
Pretty bummed.
