Hiking (gravel) 10:00 [1] 0.5 mi (20:00 / mi)
(injured)

Retrieving empty trash/recycle bins. Kiddos helped. Slow, easy walking. Clear improvement from 2 days ago so hoping this isn't as bad as it appeared on Tuesday.

Work trip to OH cancelled. Phew! Was not looking forward to the drive.

Bike 1:00 [1]
(injured) shoes: Niner Air 9

Leg way tender. Cannot walk normally. But I was dying to know if the same feeling would be present on the bike so I hopped on the Niner for a 1-min lap around the yard and it felt completely NORMAL. So I *may* still be able to swing the DK-100 (as long as there is little to no hike-a-bike).

Run (track) 18:05 [3] 1.97 mi (9:11 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR 2 Grn/Aqua

Well that was super dumb.

Easy laps around track w/ son @ daughter's practice. He wanted to stop after 2 mi. and play catch - sure...if you can stand my throwing. Then I noticed the team was practicing 4x100 relays (d's event @ the meet this weekend) and they were having parents fill in empty slots as needed. I jumped in on leg 4 of d's team and that was super fun for a few rounds until the old familiar popping sensation in the back of my L leg. Ugggghhhhh. I stopped immediately. Sprinting (warmed up and not even close to all-out!) apparently was a very, very bad idea. In the past, this has been at least several months of rehab - generally affecting running only.

A good reminder I am not invincible and PT strengthening/flexibility should NOT be an afterthought once a week.

Pretty bummed.

Bike (gravel and paved) 6:36:15 [3] 92.7 mi (14.0 mph) +1827ft
shoes: Motobecane Fantom X Team Ti

Klondike boat ramp -> lap around Klondike Park -> lap around Augusta including Hackman and Nahm -> lap around Hermann -> back to boat ramp

All connected by the Katy, of course (and the bike lane into Hermann). Westbound headwind but eastbound tailwind. The hills in Hermann added some needed climb but also seriously challenged my Avid disc brakes. Yikes. Did not enjoy the ever increasing heat but handled it OK and finished feeling fairly decent. A great mother's day morning!

Krav Maga 1:00:00 [2]

KM open. A whole bunch of mitt work and sparring which was really fun!

Bike (gravel and paved) 1:53:51 [3] 28.0 mi (14.8 mph) +804ft
shoes: Motobecane Fantom X Team Ti

2+ Hamburg/Katy/ Greenway laps. Holy moly, the pollen! Practically choking on it and totally coated by the end. Lovely evening otherwise.
