Biking (Mountain) 1:20:00 [2] 13.0 km (6:09 / km) +410m 5:19 / km

Planned to go skiing today to switch it up. It the Whistler webcams weren't showing good visibility yet. Conditions were dry outside, so decided to go for a quick mtn bike ride and the. Check Whistler conditions again. Rode Fat Tug, another fun technical downhill that only took an hour for a lap, and then over to One Mike Lake where we rode Pickle Surprise (about a 20 minute lap). Pickle Surprise started off quite easy compared with what we have been riding most days but then it suddenly changed and got more challenging.

Backcountry skiing (Resort, alpine ) 25:00 [2]

After the morning ride, we took a gamble on what appeared to be potentially improving conditions at Whistler. Loaded up the truck and said goodbye to Pemberton. You were great Pemberton, thank you, see you again.
Headed up toward 7th Heaven and it was socked in, no visibility up high. We lapped the upper chair three times in hopes of changing conditions that would let us tour off of the resort. On our last lap, the visibility had improved some, but not enough to incent us to head out touring. We pondered ditching the packs (man, those were an extra leg workout) and skiing the resort but decided that we have lots of opportunities for better skiing. Instead we decided to try for some more great biking. Skied top to bottom, back down to the truck. Did have some decent snow, but we are deep powder snobs :)

Biking (Mountain) 1:05:00 [2] 11.5 km (5:39 / km) +360m 4:53 / km

Pulled the plug on skiing and had a few rides in mind near Squamish. Parked near Alice Lake and rode Rupert and Credit Line, both black trails. The trails were wetter than in Pemberton (man, Pemberton really is my new fave) and I was worried about rocks and roots being more slippery here. The tires did get kicked around just a couple of times but nothing bad. Had a couple of great rides on trails with some steep roll-offs.
