Note
slept:10.0 (rest day)

Tapering so that I can kill it on the bike trip!

Actually, I've got some Achilles tendonitis and have the luxury of not stressing about any races or needing to train, so I gladly just took the day off and got some other things done.

90 minute massage (was booked for 60 but I needed a lot of work)

Running (intervals) 1:05:00 intensity: (18:00 @1) + (35:00 @2) + (12:00 @4)
shoes: Hoka Stinson Trail (Red, 2014)

Hill repeats at the Nordic Centre
12 x (1 min up, hard, followed by 1:30 jogging back down easy)

A good sized group, everyone really having a good time. So great to be able to put in such tough training and actually feel like it is a fun evening.

Ran past Frozen Thunder on the way back to the cars. Yes, they are cross-country skiing in Canmore today.

Biking (Mountain) 57:00 [3] 12.5 km (4:34 / km)
slept:8.5

Got home from the city in time to go for a quick burn on the G8 trails with Carbon. A really great trail to have so close to home. Legs were just a little tired from last night's class but they still did fine.

Now heading out for Slice's birthday!

Biking (Spin class) 2:10:00 intensity: (20:00 @1) + (39:00 @2) + (1:00:00 @3) + (11:00 @5)

Warm up, then:

3 x (8 x (2:15 E3, :15 MAP)). 5 minute rest interval

Finished with 10 x 30s MAP, 30s easy

Did about 180w for E3 and about 245w for MAP. This equated to about a 215-220w 20 min time trial. Could probably bump up just a little more.

Running (Trail) 1:00:00 [2] 8.0 km (7:30 / km)

Trail run behind our place on Montane Traverse with Carbon and neighbour Kim. A fun sociable run but Carbon and I weren't feeling 100 percent due to colds and bad bellies. Carbon's 2 beers last night is a lot more than her body is used to (seriously). A nice morning, a pretty run.
Distance is a guess.
